Apple released the next-generation iPhone 3G this year with a load of new features. The new 3G iPhone has access to the high-speed 3G wireless network, Microsoft Exchange server e-mail, and support for a variety of softwares available from the iPhone App Store.
The differences between the iPhone 3G and the original iPhone in terms of design and display are fairly modest. The dimensions are similar although not identical, as the iPhone 3G models are slightly thinner at the tapered edges and thicker in the middle, and weigh slightly less as well.
The most substantial difference, as you can tell from the model name, the new iPhone 3G model adds support for a faster 3G network -- usually twice as fast as the EDGE standard supported by the original iPhones. In addition, the new iPhone 3G model now offers the GPS function. Apple also reports IPhone 3G models have improved call quality and better battery life.
iPhone 3G offers 8 or 16 GB of storage. If you like the music, better pick the 16GB version since it comes with more storage for you to save more songs and other stuff into your iphone. Or if you like white color, you have to pick the 16GB version as it is not available with 8G version.
